The Englewood Home is our men's sober transitional residence, fully renovated to provide a calm, light-filled environment for residents rebuilding their lives. Each room is a private sanctuary; the shared spaces are designed for community, meals, and rest. A separate women's residence is opening soon.

House Manager

Help open the Englewood Home — our men's sober residence — this July

Major House Services is a transitional and sober living provider in Detroit serving men and women. We're hiring our first live-in House Manager for the Englewood Home (men's residence) to help establish the home and keep it safe, welcoming, and accountable before residents arrive.

What we offer

What you'll do
  • Uphold a safe, sober, respectful home and enforce house rules
  • Follow safety and emergency protocols; de-escalate and document concerns
  • Welcome and orient new residents; keep case-manager contacts on file
  • Oversee chores, common spaces, and day-to-day operations
Who we're looking for
  • Reliable, calm under pressure, with strong boundaries
  • A genuine commitment to supporting people in recovery and transition
  • Lived recovery experience is valued
  • Willing to live on-site and pass a background check

Training provided: creating a safe place and safety protocols, trauma-informed care, de-escalation, overdose response and Narcan, basic first aid and CPR, mandated-reporter awareness, and alignment with MHSDA and NARR standards.
